Limitations and considerations

Working with Qlik Catalog is subject to the following limitations:

  • Compose tasks are not supported.
  • Cataloging a task with a large number of source tables might take some time.
  • Replicate streaming target endpoints (such as Kafka) are not supported. For a full list of streaming endpoints, see the Replicate Support Matrix.
  • Replicate file-based target endpoints (e.g. Amazon S3) are not supported.
  • Operations performed directly in Qlik Catalog on cataloged Replicate tasks and sources will not be synced back to Enterprise Manager. For example, if you delete a source in Qlik Catalog, the task will still appear as cataloged in Enterprise Manager.
  • Tasks that are deleted in Enterprise Manager when a server is not being monitored will not be deleted in Qlik Catalog when monitoring is resumed for that server. Such tasks will need to be manually deleted in Catalog.
  • After upgrading to Enterprise Manager 7.0, existing tasks need to be stopped and then resumed in order to be eligible for cataloging.
  • Data cannot currently be ingested from the Replicate target tables (entities) into Qlik Catalog.
